A Chameleon Sky
 The sands of time are running out for the central star of this the Hourglass Nebula. With its nuclear fuel exhausted, this brief, spectacular, closing phase of a sun-like star's life occurs as its outer layers are ejected and its core becomes a cooling, fading white dwarf. In 1995, astronomers used the Hubble Space Telescope to make a series of images of planetary nebulae, including the one above. Here, delicate rings of colorful glowing gas (nitrogen-red, hydrogen-green, and oxygen-blue) outline the tenuous walls of the 'hourglass.' The unprecedented sharpness of Hubble's images revealed surprising details of the nebula ejection process and may resolve the outstanding mystery of the variety of complex shapes and symmetries of planetary nebulae. Here are some images from the camera test. they came out pretty good for a point and shoot camera. [View with PicLens] ok so I decided to get a basic Point and Shoot digital camera, and an 8 glass set of beer glasses. The camera actually came in the other day and it looks great. the picture quailty seems ok. More testing to do still. The beer glasses havent come in yet, but I am really looking [...] A while back I setup a data feed for a Showtime promotion at work. As a result I was given a number of Showtime rewards points which I can use to get stuff. I logged in today and I have 900 points. Its not a ton but enought to get something really kewl. So should [...] I started lifting again. Rob recently decided to setup a gym in his basement. I was able to get my brothers weights for Rob and now I am taking advantage of them (o: Started last night. A light workout to get things working again.
